Kevin and Tanja Bonnette Donate $2000 to Fund SEARK Scholarships

State Farm agent Kevin and Tanja Bonnette donated $2,000 to Southeast Arkansas College scholarships that will help first-time and current SEARK students who resides in Jefferson county.
The money will fund two scholarships. The first is the Technical Studies Scholarship. The second is the Non-Traditional Scholarship.
The amount of both Scholarships shall be one thousand dollars ($500.00) per academic year. These scholarships aim to provide students with the opportunity to pursue their educational goals without the financial burden that often accompanies higher education. By supporting both technical studies and non-traditional students, Kevin and Tanja Bonnette are emphasizing the importance of diverse educational paths and the value of lifelong learning.
The Technical Studies Scholarship is designed to assist students entering fields that require specific technical skills, which are increasingly in demand in today's job market. This support can help students gain the necessary expertise to thrive in industries such as maintenance, manufacturing, and information technology.
Meanwhile, the SEARK Student Scholarship is targeted at nontraditional students who are returning to education after a break, those who are balancing school with work or family commitments, or those pursuing a new career path in the SEARK Practical Nursing Program. This scholarship acknowledges the unique challenges faced by non-traditional students and seeks to empower them to achieve their academic and professional aspirations.
Kevin and Tanja Bonnette's continued investment in education underscores their commitment to the community and the future success of its members. By providing these scholarships, they are not only helping individual students but also contributing to the overall growth and development of the Jefferson County area.
