Getting Started
Whether you are pursuing a degree to transfer to a four-year university or training for a new career, we are here to root for you as you begin your steps of success at Southeast Arkansas College and beyond.
1. Apply!
Are you ready to take the first step? Create an account. Once completed, you will be able to complete an application. Your acceptance letter will provide information on activating your student email.
Submit the following:
- Driver’s License or State ID
- SEARK Application
- Immunization Records(MMR1 and MMR2)
- Official Transcript(s)
- High School/GED
2. Apply for Financial Aid
Visit www.fafsa.gov to apply for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may submit your application and use the SEARK school code 014893. Contact the SEARK Financial Aid Office at finaid@seark.edu or 870-543-4909 for additional information about your financial aid status.
3. Meet with an advisor
Visit the Student Success Center in room 160 of the Student Services Building. If testing is required, this office will schedule a time for you. If NO testing is required or testing has been completed, you will meet with an advisor to plan your courses for the semester and register. In case you are a strictly online student, you may contact the office via phone at 870-850-3075, or use the online scheduler.
4. Visit the Registrar’s Office
Visit the Registrar’s Office, Student Services Building Room 145 to get your student ID.
5. Orientation
Complete your online registration for New Student Orientation
6. Payment
Make sure payment for your registered classes is in place. Payment plans can be setup and managed through your Student Planning account under the Student Finance tab. Payment is due before the first day of the semester.
7. Go to class!
The number one way to succeed in college is to go to class.
